Since 28 October 2016 new maps showing inertio-gravity waves in the upper troposphere and the stratosphere in ECMWF analysis and 10-day deterministic forecast have been added under Polar plots menu. 

New maps show temperature perturbations of IG waves superposed on the total wind wind field represented by streamlines.  The IG temperature perturbations are filtered for the zonal wavenumbers greater than 7 (around 2000 km at 45 N).   

An example shows inertio-gravity waves  in the ECMWF forecast initialized on 30 Nov 2016. Results are for 5 hPa at three subsequent forecast times 12 hours apart.
